Casalino Carta Srl orders PrimeFlow AT headbox from ANDRITZ
The aim of the rebuild was to improve the basis weight profiles and formation of the PM1 packaging paper machine. The PrimeFlow AT accelerating tube headbox has uniquely nested trapezoid outlet features along with a rugged design structure.
Casalino Carta Srl has successfully started up a PrimeFlow AT headbox supplied by ANDRITZ for its mill in Rocca Grimalda (Alessandria), Italy. The PrimeFlow AT headbox features a rugged design structure, sheets in the nozzle for turbulence control, and a capacity for high-resolution dilution profiling.
The objective of the rebuild is to improve the basis weight profiles and formation of the PM1 packaging paper machine with a production speed of 305 to 570 m/min and a width of 2.9 m at the pope reel.
The PrimeFlow AT accelerating tube headbox has uniquely nested trapezoid outlet features along with lamellas in the nozzle for turbulence control, and the dilution profiling system has a high resolution. This enables excellent jet quality, fiber dispersion, and fiber orientation control over a wide range of grades and speeds.
Giovanni and Alessandro Casalino, Owners of Casalino Carta Srl, say, “We want a high-quality end product so that we number among the top European producers of Ecocraft packaging, corrugated medium, and MG-creped paper. This is why we opted for the ANDRITZ equipment.”
Being one of Italy’s top packaging and creped paper manufacturers (Ecokraft), Casalino Carta Srl is increasing its focus on the production of high-quality packaging grades.
