SMI Coated Products to Represent FLEXcon Company in India

Mumbai-based Label stock manufacturer SMI Coated Products has partnered with FLEXcon Company, an innovator in adhesive coating and laminating.

SMI Coated Products has established a strong brand presence among printers/converters and is widely considered as one of India's top label stock companies. To date, the company has offered a wide range of paper and filmic label stock solutions using acrylic and rubber-based hot melt adhesives to the end-user market.

SMI will initially offer eight UL-certified base films and one overlaminate from FLEXcon. SMI will be able to deliver a broad range of goods throughout the automotive, outdoor power equipment, power tool, appliance, and electronics markets with the addition of these items.

Most products also comply with both Reach and RoHS. The products utilize some of FLEXcon’s high-performing adhesives along with topcoats to optimize printability with conventional, digital and hybrid printing platforms.
